Schuco Mini Cooper and Knaus Caravan model £24.99

A wonderfully kitsch model from German maker, Schuco, this limited edition 1:43 diecast is a brave new take on traditional small-scale Minis, thanks to the addition of the Knaus Schwalbennest caravan.

To many (including us), a Mini towing a caravan seems somewhat perverse, but it’s a good bit of fun nevertheless. Detailing is top notch for this scale of model, with several period correct decal details, as well as good interior detailing.

The hitch for attaching caravan is a nice touch, as is the German spec numberplate MNI 172. It seems very reasonably priced too, as a quick online search reveals other websites selling it for as much as £74.99. It comes supplied in a clear plastic presentation box on a black plastic plinth, although this is definitely a collectible and not a toy, as we found it quite fragile.

This would make a really great gift for someone who’s Mini-mad and has collected every other Mini model out there.
