SVR CLASSIC VEHICLE DAY
The Severn Valley Railway’s Classic Vehicle Day returns on Sunday 30 July. A popular event in the heritage line’s annual calendar, a variety of vehicles will be on display at stations along the line. The oldest cars on display are expected to be a 1924 Cluley on Kidderminster station concourse, a 1927 Rolls-Royce Coupé at Highley, and a 1928 Austin at Bridgnorth. Look out at Bewdley for a 1936 Triumph Drophead Coupé, 1966 Volkswagen T1 Spaceaway caravanette and a 1973 Jensen Interceptor III. Among the railway’s reserve collection of locomotives in The Engine House Visitor Centre will be 11 vehicles, including a 1939 MG TA, 1961 Singer Vogue and a 1964 Lotus Cortina MkI. ■ svr.co.uk
