The Cortina’s last hurrah comes in the form of the Crusader, which can be ordered in 1.3-, 1.6or 2.0-litre form and as a saloon or estate. Cortina production finally ends in Dagenham in July but sales remain strong into 1983 and the P100 pick-up truck continues until it’s replaced by a Sierra-based model in 1988.
