Vandals smash classics

-

A classic car enthusiast has had his classic vehicles attacked by vandals.

Chris Smith-Moorhouse, 36, discovered smashed windows and mirrors, following the attack. None of the cars’ bodywork was touched and nothing was stolen. The targeted cars included Chris’ Ford Crown Victoria police car and Chevrolet Blazer.

The incident happened sometime between 26-28 August at a commercial yard in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Chris says: ‘I’ve had the Blazer for eight years, and done various bits of restoration work on it. I’ve also got a British ambulance that they attacked, and which the insurance won’t cover, and a customer’s Honda Civic.

‘I don’t know anyone who could have done this. It’s oddly specific and spiteful to only smash the windows. The cars were hidden away in the yard, so whoever did it must have known that they were there.’ Toby Hall If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote 190 of Wednesday August 29.
