BMC’S BIGGEST FINS ON A HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL AND CHARACTERFUL SELECTION OF FAMILY SALOONS

-

We’re talking big fins here, so the real candidates for British be-finnery are the Austin A55, Morris Oxford Series V and Wolseley 15/60 members of this range of five badge-engineered family saloons. They were succeeded in 1961 by the Austin A60, Morris Oxford Series VI and Wolseley 16/60, whose fins were much tamed, but the Morris and Wolseley would take British fin-ery into the 1970s as they were produced until 1971.

There had also been MG and Riley models in the range, the fins of which remained constant until they were axed in 1967 and 1969 respectively.
