1953 Bentley R-type James Young saloon
Sold new in Jersey, where it had spent its entire life, this rare James Young-bodied R-type had been dry-stored since the 1960s and had just 17,000 miles on the clock. The sound car’s paint was past its best but the bodywork had lasted very well and some serious polishing would have helped the brightwork no end. The interior didn’t disappoint, wanting nothing other than a clean. Definitely deserving of re-commissioning.
