1971 BMW 2002 Turbo
It’s not just the 3.0CSL that’s seeing strong prices – the ’02 Turbo is seeing an increased interest, too, as this 1974 car showed. Sold new in Austria, it went to Jersey in 1991 and remained there, in dry storage, until the sale. Recently re-commissioned after that period of inactivity, it was in good, but not stunning order, offering the air that only an original-order car can provide. An ideal car for many of the Salon Privé crowd, it was off for well above its £70,000 upper estimate.
