A FEW OTHER SINGLE-MARQUE CLASSIC SALES WE’D LOVE TO SEE

-

MG

British sports cars enjoy consistent levels of popularity both here and on the continent, so we reckon there’d be plenty of appetite for an auction focusing solely on classics wearing the octagon badge. Plus, there’s a two-day event with a ready-made, marque-savvy audience in the form of MGLive!

Volkswagen

If there’s room in the market to justify a Porsche sale, why not one for Volkswagens? There are plenty of events across the UK which provide a ready-made audience, particularly the VW-only shows at Stanford Hall and Harewood House. And there’s a ready supply of air-cooled, watercooled, standard and modified cars to sell.

Land Rover

Another marque with a large enough following to justify a sale dedicated to its classics, and we reckon its offerings turn up frequently enough to make it viable. There’d be plenty of takers for a sale offering two-door Range Rovers and freshly-restored Series IIIs, with hopefully a few bargains chucked in, too.

Ford

Barons might not have any immediate plans to repeat its 2016 Ford-only outing, but there’s definitely enough of a following for the Blue Oval to sustain a similar sale. And there’s the potential to set a few price records, if recent results for Capris, Escort RS Turbos and Sierra RS Cosworths are anything to go by.
