WOLSELEY RARITY

1500 is the oldest known example, being the 20th off the production line, though bearing the 14th body built. Built on 8 April 1957, it wasn’t registered until early 1958 – maybe it was one of 1200 built for the Irish market?

HAVE MERCER

US firm, Mercer, produced high-performance cars from 1919-25. The Raceabout was often compared to Bentleys. Around 5000 were built, including this 1922 tourer offer by dealer Johnny Pridmore for £250k.

FIRST SUNBEAM-TALBOT

This 1937 Sunbeam-Talbot 10 prototype is the first vehicle to bear the Sunbeam-Talbot name after Rootes bought the operation. This car, chassis 40,001, is owned by children’s author, John Duddle.
