1967 TURIN MOTOR SHOW, 1968 LONDON MOTOR SHOW Pininfarina’s Aerodynamicas – in large scale on the 1800 ‘Landcrab’ platform and, using an 1100 as a basis to demonstrate the smooth Citroën CX-esque shape, also working tremendously in smaller form – are the great ‘what might have beens’ of British Leyland. The 1800 debuted at the 1967 Turin Motor Show before appearing at London equivalent in 1968, the same year the 1100 was revealed. Amazingly futuristic.
