The Goodwood Revival: Twenty Glorious Years £29.99
The phenomenon of the ‘coffee table book’ takes its ultimate form in Twenty Glorious Years, for this is a mesmerisingly beautiful book – gold edged pages mean it almost looks as good closed as it does open.
Inside, it is a slightly difficult book to get your head around if you think about it too deeply, because it celebrates 20 years of the Revival (1998-2018), yet is chronologically organised from 1939-1966, charting elements from each year of the circuit’s heydays that have been celebrated at the festival.
It’s best then, to just sit back and revel in the imagery, design and stories from the Revival. For regular attendees of the event particularly, this is sure to be an enjoyable volume to flick through. Charlie Calderwood
