Wide range pulls bidders to Herefordshire – by foot, phone and ’net

Held just as Britain’s snowfall was melting, Brightwells put on a decent offering that went from pre-war project cars up to modern classics, and encouraged strong bidding in the room, by phone and over the internet

Key offerings included two 1950s Land Rovers – one a 1950, lights- behind-grille model, and a brace of Rolls-Royce Silver Shadows. These were joined by several MGBs, Minis and Morris Minors, while there was perhaps the largest auction line-up of Daimlers for several years.

A good start to Brightwells’ Vintage and Classic season. Its Bicester sale is on 11 April.
