Punters deterred by the slightly flat paint missed out, because this later chrome-bumper GT had so much going for it. In almost daily use since 2013 it had seen more that £3300 spent on maintenance and improvements – a Kenlowe fan, cylinder head overhaul, electronic ignition and a rolling road tune-up spelt out sensible ownership. That paint aside, the bodywork was pretty tidy, and the interior was very smart, the seats showing little wear, while the MotoLita steering wheel and walnut dashboard added to the cockpit ambience. This was a wise buy.
