HOW’S THE BODY?

-

Coupés fare quite well when it comes to rust. Earlier cars are deemed to be better protected, but plenty have still been scrapped because of terminal corrosion. Inner and outer wheel arches, sills, front scuttle, and around the door and screen pillars are the keys areas to check, but it’s also worth a thorough prod of the cabin and boot floors. New panels are unavailable so you’ll be looking at new/old stock or second-hand bits, although there’s still a decent supply.
