The only genuine parts maker for TVR’s older models has ramped up the help it can offer to classic owners by remanufacturing spares at a newly refurbished base.

Hampshire-based TVR Parts has been refurbishing a building on its existing site for the past three years and the company says that it will be ready for use next month.

Parts Manager, Martin Slade, says: ‘We are continually expanding room and are always running out of space. It’s at the stage where we’re filling up our kitchen cupboards with stuff! This will allow us to raise our game and continue offering more parts for all ages of TVRs.

‘We’re just about to start offering new rear suspension uprights for the TVR Vixen, for example. These have been unavailable for years; we’ve only been able to accurately reproduce them with the use of the original moulds.’

For owners of classics which are fortunate to be served by a manufacturer that is still active and supporting its heritage models, this makes today the best time to own a classic car – at least from a parts perspective.

TVR Car Club public relations manager, Ralph Dodds, says: ‘TVR parts have made a particular difference when it comes to getting difficultto-source parts. It’s much easier to get things remanufactured now – and of course the discount to club members is helpful, too!’
