One of two Land Rovers used in the recent Peter Rabbit film is up for sale at H&H Classics’ Imperial War Museum Duxford auction on 21 March.

The 1969 Series IIA, which is being sold with a £10-15k estimate, is an 88in 2.25-litre petrol pick-up. In the film it poses under a false registration number as the vehicle owned by Peter Rabbit’s nemesis, Mr McGregor, played by Domhnall Gleeson.

H&H Classics describes the pick-up, which has recently had its interior trim refurbished and will be sold with a fresh MoT, as being in excellent condition overall. The main area of improvement needed for the car is a new set of window rubbers.

An H&H spokesman says: ‘With values of Series I Land Rovers reaching giddying heights, it cannot be long before the Series IIs follow.

‘Such a fine example, with the added bonus of movie stardom, is a very attractive proposition.’

?? ?? The Series IIA, which goes to auction on 21 March, appeared in the Peter Rabbit movie.
