Stuart Davies of SDSC Specialist Cars says: ‘I try to keep a few Crossfires in stock and if you scan the online classifieds there are usually quite a few for sale. The cheapest coupés start at under £3000 for something that’s done about 80k miles; limit the mileage to 50k and you’ll need to spend at least £4000.

‘This is also the start point for a roadster, although cars that have done under 50k miles will cost at least £5500. You’ll do well to find an SRT-6; but if you do it’ll be priced at no less than £6000, if it’s a coupé that’s done 100k miles. Find a lowmileage roadster and you’ll need to budget at least £10,000 to secure it.’
