Some splendid children’s pedal cars keep popping up in the marketplace, with this latest example proving very popular in the Toys & Models sale from Ewbank’s at Woking on 31 May.
This delightful lot featured an early tinplate car and was made all the more desirable by the presence of two miniature Shell oil cans – you can only imagine the fun that young owners must have had with them over the years and it will now doubtless be cherished by a collector. With an estimate of £100-200, the classy car and cans combo reached a top bid of £320.
