1956 ASTON MARTIN DB2/4 COUPÉ

This Tickford-bodied DB2/4’s vendor bought it in 2014 when it was finished in silver and black. Aston Martin Works restored and re-painted the car in its original two-tone Sea Green over Deep Carriage Green scheme, before fitting a later DB4’s 3.7-litre engine, whose stamp suggests that it could be a pre-production unit. Nigh-on perfect outside and in (the red interior was especially lovely), it wasn’t cheap, but true quality always outweighs cost.
