SCAT survivor scoops prize
A pre-war SCAT (Società Ceirano Automobili Torino) received a Preservation Award from the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on 25-27 May. Corrado Lopresto’s 1913 SCAT 25/35 HP attracted the judges’ attention for its originality. FIVA Senior Vice President and jury member, Dr Mario Theissen, said: ‘A car more than 100 years old, in remarkably original shape and fully running, this is a perfect statement of what FIVA stands for. This car is what preservation is all about.’
