New inter-club event to celebrate two big marque anniversar­ies

The Triumph Herald’s 60th birthday and the TR6’s half-century are being marked at a brand new event bringing together two of the nation’s biggest clubs.

The TR Register said it was combining its Internatio­nal Weekend with the Triumph Sports Six Club’s TriumFest event to create the inaugural inter-club Triumph

Weekend, a three-day event held at Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse. Highlights include anniversar­y displays dedicated to the Herald and TR6, guided tours of nearby Stratford-upon-Avon, classic runs and displays from guest clubs. There’ ll also be aMeguiar ssupported con course vent, a big draw at the two previous Triumph events, live music and an autosolo.

The facilities at the racecourse include fully appointed camping facilities, with dedicated camping places for all attendees on the rally fields, indoor trade areas, arena and picturesqu­e surroundin­gs.

There are also plenty of local hotels to choose from as well for a variety of budgets and tastes. Tickets start from £15 per person on Saturday and £12 on Sunday, with three-day tickets costing £32 and camping on-site at £5 per night.

Wayne Scott, TR Register spokesman, said: ‘The racecourse venue is ideally situated within a short walk from the historic town centre. There will be many of the favourite features of the TSSC’s TriumFest and TR Register’s Internatio­nal Weekend, plus invited car clubs, guided tours of the city and road runs, and much more. ‘ Working with other car clubs should give us a weekend to remember for all Triumph enthusiast­s.’
