2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4 Limited

HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED THE CAR?

It was a private sale, for £7000, in July 2015. Its one previous lady owner was a former police officer. It was always garaged and MoT’d every year. This car is totally pristine and concours in every sense of the word and rare because it is one of the last pre-facelift models. It’s also in the best colour – Inferno Red – with an unmarked leather and suede interior. It’s top of the range, with air-con and a powered sunroof. But I need a valuation with a view to selling it. Why am I selling? Honestly, it’s my dream car, but it’s too perfect! I need one I can use daily, but I’m scared to use this. The immaculate wheels are chrome-faced and the tyres are the originals with the bobbling still present around the edges. The chalk marks used by the original installers in the factory to hang the doors are still present and the original owner refused to polish them out. You could eat your dinner off the engine.

HOW MUCH HISTORY?

It has every scrap of paperwork back to the original bill of sale – £17,649.83 from MTB Motors in Newtonle-Willows, in Merseyside, plus the salesman’s business card. All MoTs are there, with a few hundred miles between each. There’s full service history for the first two years, after which Chrysler said just bring it back when it has 10,000 miles on the clock, as each service basically cost £100 for a bottle of windscreen wash.

HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?

All the extras fitted were ‘factory’ and not aftermarket. WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?

No work is needed.
