I bought my Harvest Gold Vanden Plas 1500 for £3000 from a private seller four years ago. Since then I have become a member of both of the clubs that support these cars. With their assistance I have inspected all areas of the car and brought them up to the correct standard, such that it passed its MoT (even though it’s exempt) without any advisories.

The repairs and replacements that have been carried out are comprehensive and too many to list here but are itemised in the large history file and all of the car’s previous MoTs. The roof is finished in vinyl and the Webasto sunroof is fully operational and without any leaks. The deep olive leather interior and Vanden Plas furnishings are all in good order.

HOW MUCH HISTORY?

The file of ownership receipts and past MoT certificates verify the current mileage, which has just turned 30,700 on the milometer, as genuine. The current insurance valuation I have is £6000, which was done some time ago following a comparison with similar cars and may need revising upwards. But that is why I have turned to CCW for a professional valuation.

HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?

The only modification I have made is an update to an electronic ignition system.

WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?

At the moment it only requires a bit of tinkering to fix the interior courtesy lights and a minor correction to the suspension height on one side.
