PRICE WATCH

There’s no difference between 2000 and 2200 values; their worth is dictated by condition rather than specification. Expect to pay £25003000 for something usable but unspecial; the very best examples can now command over £12,000. At the bottom end of the market the V8 is worth no more than a fourpot P6, but at the top end there’s a significant difference, with the best cars worth as much as £20,000. However, to command this sort of figure the car will need to have tinted glass, power steering and a leather interior, and it’ll have to be in a desirable colour combination. VIPs fetch a small premium, as do cars with an interesting history, but despite their rarity, estates are worth the same as saloons.
