HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED THE CAR?

Since December last year. I am the second UK owner and I bought it for £7500 from a friend who imported it but never really used it. That friend brought it in from Canada as part of a job lot in 2015 and I have been wanting to buy it from him ever since then, but up until December of 2019 he couldn’t be persuaded to part with it.

HOW MUCH HISTORY?

The documents file reveals that the car was previously owned by famous Canadian stock car racer and old car enthusiast, Nate Salter, from Toronto. He also wrote for the newspaper, Old Autos. The mileage when imported was 19,285, so given the current reading it has done just 1300 miles since, backed by its MoT certificates. I can’t guarantee the previous Canadian mileage.

Annoyingly, the DVLA incorrectly first registered it as a 2014 car and although I have had numerous attempts at correcting it they don’t seem to listen. I have even shown them the original build details obtained from Mopar Heritage.

The only modified parts fitted are a rev counter, oil pressure and coolant temp gauges, and a modern radio/CD player.

WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?

It’s completely original and no work has been required apart from sorting a couple of fluid leaks. It will need tyres and fluids changing again soon due to it having stood for some time. I’m struggling to put a realistic value against the car. I think I have undervalued it for insurance purposes at £10,000.

HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?
