1959 JAGUAR XK150 This left-hand-drive fixed-head was sold new in Italy but repatriated in 1970, when it was snapped up by thriller author, James Leasor. After he parted ways with the XK150 it went through a string of owners and was then exported to the US, before returning to the UK in 2009. There are a few rough cosmetic edges on this older restoration, but it’s temptingly priced and is said to run well. 1958 PEUGEOT 403

A roomy, affordable family saloon and in a way the French equivalent of an Oxford or Cambridge, the 403 eschewed fins and chrome in favour of a more subtle approach. Reported to be running well and in solid order, this left-hand-drive example could do with some tidyingup but is solid and the interior clean and tidy. A stylish and potentially highly affordable treat. 1961 ROVER 100

The P4 remains popular within the classic movement and its low-key, finely-engineered character makes it, if anything, way more sophisticated than certain more expensive luxury saloons of the time. This late model looks good inside and out, the bodywork appearing extremely tidy and straight, the monotone dark red and the grey interior smart. Highly tempting.

1966 FIAT 850 COUPÉ The appeal of classic motor sport shows no sign of slowing down and with many types of competition on offer, there is generally something for everyone. This part-finished c.1966 Fiat 850 Coupé is already fitted with a 1.2-litre Fiat Punto 16-valve engine and gearbox. Plenty of the hard work has been done, including fitment of coil-overs and disc brakes. With lightened bodywork and Perspex side/rear windows it just needs some final finishing off.
