HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED THE CAR?

I have owned the car for about three years, though I have known it almost from new because I used to maintain it at my dad’s car repair business and then my own. After the death of the gentleman who owned the car, his widow left it drystored for some 20 years, hence the low mileage. After her death I was contacted by the family and bought the car. I brought the car back to life with very little work required and got it MoT’d, but have not used it. It remains dry stored but I start and move it in and out of the garage from time to time. I am now looking to sell the car because it needs to be appreciated and used.

HOW MUCH HISTORY?

There’s a genuine 19,000 miles on the clock with a comprehensive

history file to back it up including a purchase invoice from the supplying dealer at two months old. The logbook shows me as the third owner but I suspect that the first would have been the supplying dealer because the last owner bought it when it was two months old. It is number 37 of the 118 Centaurs built by Crayford. It is a 2.0 automatic and has been fitted with Campagnolo alloy wheels.

No, not at all – it’s all standard.

WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?

Nothing. The roof, cover and interior are all in excellent condition. The bodywork is in excellent rust-free condition with just the odd tiny dent. The car drove without any problems when I first got it and I have no reason to expect any different now.
