Eagle creates Lightweight GT

Jaguar E-type specialist, Eagle, has turned its attention to creating an ‘ultimate’ E-type Lightweight. Starting with an E-type S1, the team replaces every body panel with modern grade aluminium panels

– as light as those used in the original lightweights, but stronger – to re-create the competition-derived lightweight shape. The car is then fitted out with Eagle’s rebuilt 4.7-litre XK engine and a leather interior, complete with air-conditioning; lighter materials mean it tips the scales at just 1017kg.
