LOCKDOWN: IDEAL FOR CAR CRIMINALS

- DAVID SIMISTER EDITOR

I had a sobering reminder the other day that criminals haven’t exactly followed the stay-at-home mantra, when a friend’s Land Rover was

stripped of bits ( but luckily, not stolen). Plenty of our cars have spent weeks, if not months, off the road during the lockdown, often stored away from home in lock-ups. In some cases classics are as valuable as modern

BMWs or Audis, but far easier to break into, and a lot harder to track down. Lockdown might be easing off, but our sense of car security definitely shouldn’t be.
