Isle of Man opens back up to historics

-

Classic car meets are now back on the calendar on the Isle of Man after coronavirus social distancing measures ended there on 15 June. The Manx Classic Car Club wasted no time in salvaging what was left of the historic vehicle season; 40 cars and 80 people were in attendance at the TT grandstand on 28 June.

The group, bolstered by three new members who joined on day and another two who signed up during lockdown, went on a 32-mile drive around the island.

A club spokesperson said: ‘Although it rained, everyone was happy to be out and meet friends again. We plan to resume what is left of 2020 with some date changes which will be on the club Facebook page.’
