‘ This convoy was a truly spectacular sight as it hit the village of Bibury, where even those expecting it were shocked by the sheer scale and spectacle of cars and people out to support the pro-Yellowist cause! It was great that so many people gave up their time to participate – quite apart from the event being massive fun, it had a serious purpose. People really wanted to show their anger at the vandalism inflicted on 84-year-old Peter Maddox’s car, and show support for him. Anyone who saw the expression on his face as he watched the convoy pass through Bibury would realise every second of their effort was worthwhile!’
