Value My Classic

HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED THE CAR?

I bought it privately for £700 about five years ago. It is now time to move it on, so would it be possible to give me a valuation on it, please? On a personal note, the monetary value is not as important as seeing the car go to a good home, and it would also benefit greatly from being garaged.

HOW MUCH HISTORY?

I have a full service history pack plus records of the other work carried out prior to my ownership. Since then I have had periodic oil and filter changes and other regular servicing done. There are no noticeable oil leaks and the 3.2-litre V6 engine is still very smooth. It also has near-new tyres that have done very few miles. The present mileage is indicated as 20,416.

HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?

The car has not been modified in any way, to my knowledge.

WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?

I have had a stainless steel exhaust fitted from the catalyst back. I also had some paintwork done to address some wheelarch rust and a few other small areas. The car would benefit from a little further TLC but is generally in great condition for the year. There is, however, an intermittent problem with the immobiliser when the car is stationary, which I am sure an enthusiast or garage would soon be able to sort out. The car is on SORN at present and there’s no current MoT due to restrictions presented by the coronavirus lockdown, though it hasn’t done a great deal of mileage since the last test was done.
