The prices above are for non-special edition/limited run models, such as the 25th Anniversary model, which will sell for well in excess of what we’re quoting. As a general rule, V8s are more sought-after than the diesels, despite their greater economy. A really good 300Tdi may reach £15,000 but average usable diesels are less than £5k. As for the petrol four-doors, much depends on spec and condition; the ultimate uprated cars approach £100k, but a nice mid-range example can be picked up for £10k if you search hard. To give you a couple of examples, a Vogue TDi sold last year in CCA’s March sale for £12,420, while in the same sale, a Vogue LSE in very presentable condition was hammered away for £11,500.
