HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED THE CAR?

I bought my Silver Spirit on 15 August 2017 from Hanwells, a classic Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealership in London, after spotting it in an advert in Classic Car Weekly. In Midnight Blue with a cream leather interior and in superb condition, I paid £15,250 for it. I’m now looking to sell the car and just wondered if you could give me a rough estimate of a sensible selling price. It’s currently insured with Footman James for £17,000.

HOW MUCH HISTORY?

There’s a comprehensive service history, along with a collection of old MoTs and various receipts for work covering everything since the car was first registered on 9 August 1991. All this paperwork supports the indicated mileage figure of 103,000 to be correct. A high-quality repair has been carried out to the offside rear wing (after I scraped a wall), the dashboard light cluster has been fixed and the car has been regularly serviced and MoT’d.

HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?

It’s largely standard but has been fitted with an upgraded entertainment system, which includes a CD player, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity with a pop-out screen.

WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?

The roof has some orange peeling effect and a re-spray has been recommended for this to make it perfect, for which I’ve had a quote for £936. The current MoT runs until 7 August this year and the car has covered only a couple of hundred miles since that was issued with no advisory recommendations made.
