THE SHOWS WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO

-

CHARLIE CALDERWOOD EVENTS EDITOR Simply BMW National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, Hampshire SO42 7ZN. 19 September

There aren’t that many BMWfocused events in the UK beyond the activities of car clubs, so this is one not to miss. All ages of BMW are welcome, so I’d expect just as many E90s as E30s, but with plenty of space, strong attendance and a relaxed atmosphere, I wouldn’t let that put you off; there’s usually at least a couple of rarities you’d struggle to see anywhere else. beaulieu.co.uk

MIKE LE CAPLAIN PRODUCTION EDITOR Cars at the Spa Royal Pump Room Gardens, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire CV32 4AA. 26 September

This sounds like a lovely way of spending an autumnal Sunday. It’s easy to get a bit hung up on events that are different from the norm but sometimes all you really want is rows and rows of classics parked up in a suitably bucolic setting to marvel at, somewhere to grab a bacon bap and a bit of live music on tap when you fancy a break from the machinery. Aaaand relax… carsatthespa.co.uk

CHRIS HOPE FEATURES EDITOR Regent Street Motor Show Regent Street, Westminster, London W1B 3AG. 6 November

This event gives enthusiasts the chance to admire the various cars taking part in the following day’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run and chat to their owners in a bustling party-like atmosphere. The event has grown over the years to incorporate post-war classic car displays plus familyfriendly entertainment and there has always been the appeal of Regent Street shopping. Perhaps the best bit though is that the event is free to enter.
