DAVID SIMISTER EDITOR Classics and Performance Motor Show Ripon Racecourse, Boroughbridge Road, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 1UG. 7 May. 10am-4pm.

Now on its 25th outing, this North Yorkshire show should be one to watch out for as it’s also encouraging enthusiasts to mark the Coronation weekend by bringing their classics along. Expect plenty of British classics to turn out to mark the occasion, as this event’s usually fairly well represented when it comes to club stands – particularly Land Rovers. There’s also expert commentary throughout the day, so you can brush up on your motoring knowledge too.
