Porsche 911 2.7 RS
The Bromyard Speed Festival may have begun last year as a British sports car celebration in Morgan’s back yard, but this year the market town streets got a German-flavoured taste of the Targa Florio.
‘The specification and livery is in homage to the 911 that won the Targa in the year the car was made,’ said 911 2.7 RS owner Andrew Brick. There’s one deviation from its 1973 style that still needs revising though – a G-series front bumper fitted by an earlier owner in an attempt to visually update the car in the image-conscious Eighties. ‘Back then it was owned by a London QC,’ Brick revealed. ‘He used it on foreign trips and said he sustained 135mph for several miles.’
