504 gets the rarity vote
I loved Sam’s report on his newly acquired Peugeot 405 SRI (June 2017). It brought back memories of the fantastic Mi16 and Mi16x4 that I owned from new in the Nineties.
But I’m not sure that you can compare seeing a 405 today with a 504 Coupé – they made 2.5 million 405s, compared with about 26,000 504 Coupés. The few rhd examples were aftermarket conversions by Hodec and hugely expensive, making the car even rarer in Britain. But seeing one in 1968 (as you suggest) would have been a year before the model was launched!
