BESPOKE ESPRIT BARGAIN

-

This 1983 Esprit Turbo was specially built for David Wickins, who took over as Lotus chairman after Colin Chapman died. It has covered just 31,000 miles and after it was discovered in a barn, the last owner spent more than £16,000 bringing it back to top form. It was recently offered by online auction house The Market with an estimate of £37k-£43k. In the end the new buyer snapped it up for £36,500 – about right for a regular S3 Turbo with this mileage and condition. So, well bought.
