Front-wheel drive Lancia Flavia saloon was launched in 1960, with 1.5-litre 78bhp flat-four.
Three coachbuilt variants launched in 1962: Pininfarina’s Coupé, Vignale’s Convertible, and Zagato Sport, all with 90bhp 1.5-litre engines. A 1.8 in 1963 offered extra power. Kugelfischer fuel injection was optional from 1965 on the 1.8.
Convertible and Sport production ended in 1967. Saloon redesigned in less fussy style.
Cleaner-still Coupé styling from 1969, and a new 114bhp 1991cc engine was introduced.
Saloon redesigned again along new Coupé lines in 1971. Flavia name dropped, range became known as the 2000, with a Jetronic-injected IE range-topper; Coupé version was badged HF. Production ended in 1974.
