Ferrari V12 dilemma

We are fortunate to own a Ferrari 488 Spider, which is very quick and fun to use in the summer months. We're now looking to add a classic Ferrari V12 that is beautiful, classy, not too hard to drive – so it can be used for summer outings – and is likely to hold its value. We can stretch to £150k but we'd be happy to spend less for the right car. What would be your top three choices? David Norman This is a lovely dilemma to have. My top three V12 Ferraris to match your requirements would be the 599GTB as the last Maranello V12 that was fitted with a manual gearbox, the Testarossa because it’s just so wildly flamboyant and iconic, and a 456GT manual because it’s so refined and such good value. Find a good one and they’re not as expensive to own as you might think. The 456 and 599GTB in particular should slip wonderfully into your life. I’m very jealous.

What value on my 220 Trophy?

Can I ask you for a value on my wife's 220 Trophy, which was bought when production ended in 2018? It's the last run of Renaultsport Clios because the model is no more. Mine was originally a showroom car for Renault Retail in Flame Red colour with Black RS wheels, a semi-automatic gearbox with paddleshift and the 1.6 turbocharged engine. The mileage is still under 30k. My understanding was that only 400 of them were made but I'm unclear as to whether that was for the UK market only. Given its limited status, would you advise keeping it with an expected increase in value?

Anthony Silvio This is a very hard car to value because so few come up for sale. Renault PR made much of the fact that there were only 455 examples available but I’m not sure if that was in all markets, including Australia and Japan where the RS220 was popular. A 2016 example with 2800 miles appeared on the Collecting Cars auction site a while ago but didn’t sell. As long as yours is in mint condition and has plenty of supporting history paperwork I’d see it at between £15k and £20k to a motivated buyer.
