Medal found

When out with his metal detector at a detecting rally in Hampshire this September, my son found an old ISDT ‘International Six Days’ Medal. At least that’s what we think it is, it’s a gold medal about 2in in diameter. We would be interested in its history and if we can give it back to its owner/winner. If you can help that’s great or point us in the direction we need to go.

Neil, the Hampshire location of the medal is interesting because long-time ISDT team members Ken Heanes and John Giles hail from that county. Not only that but Heanes hosted the likes of Steve Mcqueen and Bud Ekins who were members of the American ISDT squad too. Also many ISDT practice sessions were conducted at Bordon Camp in Hampshire. Hopefully we will be able to provide information. Tim
