Fenny Drayton – the Casa Blanca

Not being a native of Warwickshire the editor did an internet search of the Casa Blanca Hotel, which pitched up a film clip of it being demolished. After further searching CDB managed to speak to Angela Forsyth of Witherley Parish Council who confirmed the film was of the Casa Blanca Hotel in our feature. It appears the Casa Blanca was quite the 'in' place during the Sixties and Seventies and Angela had several comments from people praising the place, and several more mentioning it was not unusual for Friday night revellers to end up in the pool... in the Eighties it sadly faded from glory and even renaming it Royal Haven failed to save the place and it was demolished in the Nineties for a housing development.
