Still plenty on in October! Like Stafford!
Yup, it’s that very special time of the year – 2017 sees the 24th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show take place! Once more the show takes place over the weekend of October 14-15 at the Stafford County Showground, Weston Road, Stafford, Staffordshire ST18 0BD. This year our very special guest is one of the 1990s’ hardest bike racers: Aaron Slight. The Kiwi was twotimes a runner-up in the World Superbike series, back when it was packed with legends such as Carl Fogarty, Scott Russell, Simon Crafar, Pier-francesco Chili, Anthony Gobert and John Kocinski. For a full interview with our very special guest, head to page 26, for his take on the glory days of World Superbikes see page 8. Aaron will be quizzed regularly about his racing career by our master of ceremonies Steve Plater, but that’s not all the show has to offer. As well as the exciting Bonhams auction – in which the star of the show has to be a one-mile-old Suzuki RG500 – there are all the usual club stands, auto-jumble pitches as well as the Classic Racer paddock and the classic off-road arena. You really can’t afford to miss the modern classic show of the year, so head to: www.classicbikeshows.com for more on the event and ticket information.
