Silkolene Classic range!
We love Silkolene oil here at CMM towers. FUCHS Silkolene has been around for years; the company has a headquarters in Hanley and it’s now relaunched its classic oil range. The Silkolene Classic range harks back to the real vintage side of motorcycling. Little wonder, as the lubricants were first created by Dalton & Company, based in Belper, Derbyshire, in 1908 – but it is as Silkolene that it became universally known. During the early years of the British motorcycle industry, Silkolene developed its oils to be used by the prominent motorcycle manufacturers of the period, names such as Triumph, BSA, Norton, AJS, Royal Enfield, Brough Superior, Velocette Matchless and Vincent. The new look ‘Classics’ feature some original names relating to the Derbyshire countryside where they were developed and they are out now, each supplied in a brand-new four-litre metal container.
