ENDURANCE LEGENDS

-

Get ready for this event!

All the big stars are flocking to the Endurance Legends event over the weekend of May 12-13, 2018, at Donington Park.

The main event will once more be the 4-Hour endurance race for the sexy bikes built before 1986 as part of the second round of the new European Endurance Legend Cup. Team Classic Suzuki – who had a disastrous baptism at Donington last year – will once more be entering their gorgeous Katana and fielding riders James Whitham, Steve Parrish and Michael Neeves. Fingers crossed Whit doesn’t bin it on the first lap! They will be going head-tohead with the best classic endurance bikes, racers and teams from around the world. That’s not all, other big names include the legendary ‘Too Tal Tel’ himself, Terry Rymer. The former British champ, world endurance champ and rider of everything from 500cc Grand Prix bikes to World Superbikes will be taking part in the various parades on track and signing autographs for fans. He will be joined by fellow legend John Reynolds – another former 500cc GP rider as well as threetimes British Superbike champ! With the 4-Hour race being the big spectacle, there will also be the Lansdowne Classic Series for pre-1963, 350 and 500cc machines and the GP Originals – for 1970s and 1980s 250 and 350cc two-stroke pure race machines. Adding to the track fun will be numerous parades and track sessions for any pre-1995 modern classics. Off-track the fun continues, with no fewer than THREE big Suzuki anniversaries in the paddock, for the GS1000, X7 and RGV250 as well as club displays, a trade village and the ‘Try a Classic’ and sidecar taxi rides on the Melbourne Loop. Endurance Legends organiser Darin Frow says: “We were completely overwhelmed by the reaction from everyone after the first Endurance Legends at Donington Park in May 2017. It was a truly unique and memorable event which has helped us go into 2018 with even greater enthusiasm. We have another amazing schedule lined up for this year, so you won’t want to miss May 12-13, 2018!”
