Gerry Lecount’s Kawasaki ZRX1200R

-

Hope you like my much-modified ZRX. At the front we have an upside-down fork conversion, using custom yokes and Ohlins Road and Track forks. You’ve also got Brembo radial calipers and discs and an OZ Racing wheel with custom-made steering damper mounts with (of course) and Ohlins damper itself. Then we have a Brembo RCS clutch and brake master cylinders, Renthal Fat Bars with Koso clocks. At the back the bike has a Yamaha XJR1300 swingarm, which has been narrowed and centred to fit the frame and the shock-mounts moved to suit. Then it’s got Ohlins shocks, a Brembo rear caliper and OZ Racing wheel once more. The motor has lots of go, thanks to JE standard-bore high-compression pistons, Yoshimura ST1 cams, a flowed head, Barnett Heavy Duty Clutch, Yoshimura/ Mikuni TMR-MJN flat-slide carbs and a full Akrapovic exhaust system. On the dyno she puts out 163bhp at the rear wheel and 93lb-ft of torque! All visible nuts and bolts were replaced with polished stainless steel items and lots of one-off bits and bobs were made by my good self. The paint job is plain black, but with carbon decals.
