CMM’S very good friends at Classic Bike Trackdays have joined forces with ourselves and Bridgestone tyres to line up a super-cool weekend of fun at Cadwell Park this coming June!

Over the weekend of June 6-7, at the Lincolnshire track, we are offering some track time for classic machinery – most notably Yamaha’s RD-LC family of machines to mark Elsie’s 40th birthday. So, if you have an LC of any type, or even a later Powervalve, why not come along?

You’ll be in good company, as CMM’S very own Niall Mackenzie has volunteered to turn up with both his RD350LC and RD250LC Pro-am replica. We’re also hoping that he will have finished his Yamaha YZR500 in time to be able to do a few demo laps (see page 78 for more!). Niall may also be bringing along one or both of his championship-inning sons in the form of Taylor and/or Tarran!

Don’t worry if you’re not an Elsie aficionado, as any machine will be eligible as long as it’s a Y2K bike (2000) or younger…

Darin Frow of CBT says: “Cadwell Park is one of our all-time favourite tracks and this promises to be one of the best biking track weekends to attend in the UK. CBT'S infamous two-day mix of action on track, displays in the paddock and entertainment on Saturday night, so the atmosphere continues until after dark. Professional tuition is available all weekend both on and off the circuit.

“Places are limited as usual, so we recommend you book your place now!”

With this in mind, and it being a first-come, first-served event, if we do have enough LCS attending, we will be putting on an Elsie-only track session in addition to the LC Anniversary Parade at lunchtime (free for all LCS attending) and Yamaha LC Trophies for the best bikes attending (chosen by the owners/attendees themselves.) We also hope to have a number of dealers attending; Bridgestone will have a large display at the circuit and be giving away goody bags to riders; and many other lovely things are planned for the event.

We think this will be an amazing 2020 event, so please go and book your place now at: www.classicbiketrackdays.com and keep reading future issues of CMM and checking our website and Facebook page for more!
