Classic Bike Trackdays and CMM – in association with Bridgestone tyres – have a weekend of fun lined up at Cadwell Park in June. You can’t miss it!

It’s very early days, but it is beginning to look as if the Classic Bike Trackdays/cmm weekend in association with Bridgestone tyres is going to have a distinctive ‘Yamaha RD-LC’ look to it…
Plans are yet to be confirmed, but CBT are hoping to have a whole session dedicated to the Yamaha RD-LC family of machines and we are hoping to have some involvement at the event from Yamaha themselves, so fingers crossed there! Also, we’re in talks with the people behind the return of the Yamaha Pro-am Series to try and get a few of the replica Pro-am RD250LCS to show up – in addition to the one being brought along by special guest Niall Mackenzie, who will be at the event all weekend, along with at least one of his talented off-spring! Imagine half-a-dozen of the little terrors doing demo race laps? We’re trying to make it happen…
We also expect club stands from the likes of The LC Club and The Classic Yamaha Club, so things are gathering pace as to giving it a REAL Yamaha RD/LC flavour. And don’t forget there is an LC Anniversary
Parade at lunchtime (free for all LCS attending) and Yamaha LC Trophies for the best bikes attending (chosen by the owners/attendees themselves). Bridgestone will have a large display at the circuit and be giving away goody bags to riders.
But… don’t think it’s all about Elsie, because it isn’t! The weekend of June 6-7 at Lincolnshire’s beautiful Cadwell Park race circuit is for everyone and you can hit the track with any bike made in 2000 or before! With Classic Bike Trackdays doing the organising, with backing from Bridgestone tyres and a little help from CMM, it promises to be a corking event!
As mentioned, our own Niall Mackenzie will be coming with both his RD350LC and RD250LC Pro-am replica. We’re also hoping that he will have finished his Yamaha YZR500 in time to be able to do a few demo laps (see our NEXT MONTH page 121 for more!)
