Classic Bike Trackdays and CMM – in association with Bridgestone tyres – have a weekend of fun lined up at Cadwell Park in June.

We know nothing is for certain in these difficult times, but as we write this the UK is in lock-down, but we are still holding out hope that our planned weekend can go ahead.
The details are the same: our very good friends at Classic Bike Trackdays have joined forces with ourselves and Bridgestone tyres to line up a brilliant weekend of action over the weekend of June 6-7, at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire.
It’s hope that we will have a whole section of track time dedicated to Yamaha’s RD-LC family of machines to mark Elsie’s 40th birthday. So, if you have an LC of any type, or even a later Powervalve, why not come along?
Our very own Niall Mackenzie has volunteered to turn up with both his RD350LC and RD250LC Pro-am replica. We’re also hoping that he will
bring his Yamaha YZR500 – but that’s up in the air at the moment. See next issue for a feature on his amazing grand prix two-stroke.
Don’t worry if you’re not an Elsie aficionado as any machine will be eligible as long as it’s a Y2K bike (2000) or younger.
Darin Frow of CBT says: “The situation as it stands is that we are talking to MSV and they have said it is business as usual – for the time being. However, the latest Government advice to stop any non-essential travel would include our events. The question is for how long? Common sense and the safety of everyone attending is our top priority, so we will continue to monitor the Government's advice and instructions, and make a decision in the coming weeks as we still have a little time to see how the situation develops.”
It is hoped that the event will see an Lc-only track session as well as an LC Anniversary Parade at lunchtime (free for all LCS attending), and Yamaha LC Trophies for the best bikes attending (chosen by the owners/attendees themselves.) It is also hoped to have a number of dealers attending, and Bridgestone will have a large display at the circuit and be giving away goody bags to riders.
